Museum Roundtable

The Museum Roundtable is a collective established by the National Heritage Board in 1996 to promote a museum-going culture amongst Singaporeans and to position museums as unique cultural destinations.

Our members comprise over 50 public and private museums and heritage galleries covering the subjects of national history, culture and community, art, defence, lifestyle and collectibles, healthcare, science and innovation.

Together, we collaborate on exhibitions, festivals and programmes, share best practices and focus on raising the capabilities of our members.

BATTLE FOR SINGAPORE 2024

Organised by NHB and members of the Museum Roundtable in collaboration with academics, heritage enthusiasts and interest groups, the Battle for Singapore 2024 commemorates the 82nd anniversary of the Fall of Singapore with a series of public programmes that highlight the stories and sites relating to Singapore's experiences during the Second World War (WWII).

2024 MUSEUM ROUNDTABLE HONGBAO CAMPAIGN

Now in its 10th edition, the 2024 Museum Roundtable Lunar New Year Hongbao Campaign returns with new red packet designs based on the Zodiac Year of the Dragon!

IMD SYMPOSIUM 2023 - MUSEUMS, SUSTAINABILITY AND WELL-BEING

The theme for the International Council of Museum’s (ICOM) 2023 International Museum Day is Museums, Sustainability and Well-being. This recognises museums as key contributors to the well-being and sustainable development of our communities. As publicly accessible spaces for education, interaction and socialisation, museums are in unique positions to foster positive change in creating a better society that supports climate action, inclusion and the well-being of society.

CHILDREN'S SEASON 2023

Children’s Season is back and even bigger this year! Through this year’s theme of Hopes and Dreams, we invite children to explore different occupations in the past and present and think about who they may want to be in the future. With an exciting line-up of family-friendly programmes featuring a diverse range of comic artists and museums, we hope children will be inspired and perhaps create a “new” job that is yet unknown!

MR 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

The Museum Roundtable is celebrating its 25th Anniversary! Get ready for a series of special anniversary programmes this September. From 4 to 6 September 2021, NHB, in collaboration with 10 mystery Museum Roundtable members (Psst… the museums will only be revealed during the tour!), will be offering three thematic tours, titled, “Fashion Confessions”, “Mythical Creatures” and “Hidden Secrets” which offer different insights into the collections and workings of the participating museums.
